Gold Coast team secures a record 158 national and international business events

Capitalising on the city’s credentials and infrastructure developments following the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Destination Gold Coast team won a record 158 national and international business events.

Anna Case, director of Global Business Events, said the results demonstrate the appeal the Gold Coast has for delivering world-class conferences.

“This message is obviously coming through loud and clear to conference decision makers, as reflected in these record breaking results,” she said.

“These decision makers appreciate the ease of organising a conference in a city that offers acclaimed venues and the high service standards and accommodation quality of a huge international city, but with the benefits of a compact, easily accessible beachside destination.”
