Reimagined AIME begins as Melbourne starts the year on a high

Talk2 Media CEO Matt Pearce launches the reimagined AIME 2019.

Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Event (AIME) has officially kicked off this morning following a day of networking and Melbourne tours on Sunday.

Event director Jay Martens is confident AIME 2019 will deliver the changes the industry called out for.

What to expect? Three days of business sessions, networking and education. Matt Pearce, CEO of event organiser Talk2 Media & Events, said it is not about reinventing the wheel, it’s reimagining the event following some in depth feedback to satisfy the needs of both exhibitors and buyers.

Talk2 Media look set to deliver on their promise – the exhibitors have been offered a much more level playing field. There is a much greater weight in terms of international buyers and nearly half are first time attendees. The only question that really remains is whether the industry is ready for the changes they said they wanted?

Sunday’s social event at new Port Melbourne event space The Timber Yard set the scene for what is to come.

Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Karen Bolinger was especially excited to launch the reimagined event off the back of newly released figures for the year that show Melbourne has already exceeded its financial year targets for delegate numbers.
